C.O. Finder! TM Distance To C.O.'s
Help Topics: |
A Powerhouse of telecommunications data bundled into one application! C.O. Finder! keeps track of the distances to all of the C.O.'s on each side so you can quickly locate them according to the distance to your reference point. |
|
|
Example
1: If you wanted to find the closest Access Tandem Office to your
serving office you would take the following 3 steps.
Step 1: Select your reference point (your serving office) using any method. In this case we would click the NXX button and enter 407290 (My Orlando Location). You can use either side but in this example I'll use the left side. C.O. Finder! finds the serving central office for areacode 407 nxx 290 which is Orlando ORLDFLPH, Bellsouth Exchange in LATA 458. Step 2: I want to only consider Access Tandem Offices that are in my same LATA 458 so I select LATA 458 and "GB" (Access Tandem Office) on the other side of C.O. Finder. C.O. Finder! sorts the data on the right side and finds 10 offices that match that criteria. Step 3: Click on the listing of all offices in distance order to the other side of C.O. Finder! Since the listing is in distance order, I quickly determine that ORLDFLMA04T is the closest tandem 6 miles away from my office. Click on the ORLDFLMA04T office to select it. |

Closest
Points Between Feature:
It's sometimes useful to find out which central offices groups are closest to each other. For example; you may want to find out the most economical locations to bridge two central offices in 2 different LATA's. In this example you want to find out which central offices in LATA's 458 and 460 are closest to one another. Just select the first LATA on the left side of C.O. Finder! then select the second LATA on the right side of C.O. Finder! then click on Miscellaneous, Closest Points Between. The 2 locations are listed with their interoffice mileage of 14 miles. |
